STIGA Sports Appointed Purveyor to the Royal Court of Sweden

STIGA Sports has been appointed Purveyor to the Royal Court of Sweden, an honorary distinction awarded to companies whose products or services have, over a long period of time, been appreciated by a member of the Royal Family. The appointment is granted personally by H.M. The King and today includes approximately 130 companies in Sweden.

For STIGA Sports, with roots in Swedish craftsmanship and innovation since 1944, the appointment is a significant acknowledgment of the company’s quality, long‑term commitment, and engagement in society.

“Being appointed Purveyor to the Royal Court of Sweden is a great honor and a testament to the work that generations of employees have dedicated to STIGA Sports. This recognition reflects our pride in craftsmanship, our innovative strength, and our long‑standing commitment to sport and movement,” says Andreas Zandrén, CEO of STIGA Sports.

The ongoing table tennis fever in Sweden highlights the sport’s unique power to unite people across generations, genders, and backgrounds. As the only fully Swedish table tennis brand with global reach, STIGA Sports has for decades played a central role in the development of the sport, both nationally and internationally.
Table tennis is the company’s core and a Swedish hallmark. STIGA Sports continues to develop and manufacture its world‑renowned table tennis blades in its own wood production facility in Eskilstuna, a craft that combines tradition, precision, and modern technology.

“We are seeing enormous interest in table tennis right now, especially among children and young people. As a Swedish brand with a global presence, we have a responsibility to both preserve the sport’s heritage and drive its development forward,” says Andreas Zandrén.

Beyond table tennis, STIGA Sports’ operations also include padel, tennis, badminton, pickleball, as well as children’s and recreational products. The range stretches from high‑performance competition equipment to some of Sweden’s most iconic consumer products—such as the classic Snowracer, a natural part of Swedish winters for generations. What unites the entire product range is a focus on innovation, function, and sustainable design, strongly rooted in Swedish values.

“The appointment as Purveyor to the Royal Court of Sweden strengthens our ambition to continue promoting Swedish innovation within the global sports industry. It is a recognition that gives us even more energy to inspire the next generation and to show that Swedish craftsmanship and quality stand strong worldwide,” says Andreas Zandrén.

STIGA Sports is driven by the conviction that movement is the foundation of a healthier society. Through collaborations with schools, sports clubs, and open test centers across the country, the company actively works to lower the thresholds to sport and create lifelong joy in movement.
