STIGA Sports launches I1 Hybrid Carbon – its first Swedish-made hybrid blade and a new generation of blades built around feel and confidence

With the new I1 Hybrid Carbon, STIGA Sports introduces its first Swedish-made hybrid blade. The new hybrid construction combines speed and stability with the playing feel that has made STIGA Sports one of the most respected brands in table tennis. Thanks to an innovative design featuring TeXtreme® carbon fiber and Innegra™, players benefit from cleaner feedback, greater control, and a better feel for the ball, even at high speeds.

For more than 80 years, STIGA Sports has developed blades with a focus on balancing speed, control, and feel. With the I1 Hybrid Carbon, the goal was clear: to create an offensive hybrid blade without compromising the unique STIGA feel that players value so highly.

That feeling comes from the moment the ball strikes the racket – the vibrations travelling through the blade and providing instant feedback on every shot. For many players, this direct connection with the ball builds confidence and creates a sense of control.

At the heart of the blade is a custom hybrid construction that combines TeXtreme® carbon fiber with Innegra™. The carbon fiber provides stability, fast acceleration, and a larger sweet spot, while Innegra™ reduces unwanted vibrations and creates a softer, more predictable feel.

TeXtreme® has long been an important part of STIGA Sports’ premium range and has been used in successful blades such as Carbonado and Dynasty Carbon. The patented spread tow technology enables lighter constructions with high stiffness and improved response.
