Congratulations Truls – what an incredible achievement!

There are not enough superlatives to describe the euphoria that prevailed last night among our colleagues at Malmö Arena and among those of us who followed the tournament via the media here in Eskilstuna. You have been our best friend since 2010. What you have achieved during the past nine days of Europe Smash Sweden 2025 exceeds our wildest expectations. That match point alone is worth a Bragdguldet award.

You were the first European to win a Grand Smash tournament. The final against the current world number one Lin Shidong was probably one of the most nerve-wracking and dramatic table tennis matches ever played. At least that's how it feels now, the morning after that historic evening of table tennis on Sunday August 24th 2025. The pressure from the packed stands was enormous, and you gave the 4,000 spectators a memory for life, including the large Chinese fan club, who will not forget this final in a hurry!

You are an incredible role model – not only as a table tennis player but also as a person and an entertainer. You are also a worthy representative of everything STIGA Sports stands for: quality, innovation and success.
