STIGA Sports continues to push the boundaries of padel equipment and now launches the 18K LW Cybershape Amanda Girdo Edition – a new signature racket developed in close collaboration with Amanda Girdo. The racket combines low weight, high control, and innovative design, with the aim of making the game more accessible and dynamic for a wider range of players.
The collaboration with Amanda and the 18K LW Cybershape Amanda Girdo Edition is also part of STIGA Sports’ ongoing efforts to become even more relevant to the female padel audience.
Building on STIGA’s Cybershape technology, the new racket has been developed based on Amanda’s own experience and needs on court. The result is a lighter, more user‑friendly racket without compromising on feel, precision, or performance.
“After testing many different rackets, I really noticed how much of a difference weight makes – both to the pace of the game and to the strain on the body. I wanted to create a racket that’s easier to play with and more forgiving, without losing the feeling in the shots,” says Amanda Girdo.
With a weight of 350 grams ± 8 g and a medium balance, the racket is designed for easy maneuverability, particularly in defense and at the net. The unique Cybershape geometry offers a sweet spot that is 20 percent larger and positioned higher on the racket, while also reducing air resistance for a faster and more responsive game.
Amanda has been involved throughout the entire development process, from initial idea to finished product.
“I’ve been able to influence the details and the overall feel, which has been very important to me. This is a racket that truly reflects how I want the game to feel when I play,” she says.
Design plays a central role in the overall concept. With an expression that combines clean minimalism and energy, the racket reflects both Amanda’s personality and the ambition to stand out on court.
Mattias Westerberg, Chief Commercial Officer at STIGA Sports, comments:
“This is an important step in our padel journey. Amanda has been a key contributor in the development of this racket, and her insights have helped us create a product that meets a clear need among many players – a lighter racket with retained control and quality.”
The racket is aimed at a broad target group, from recreational players to more experienced athletes, and is particularly well suited for those looking for a smooth, controlled, and arm‑friendly option.
“I hope this racket can make the sport more accessible and inspiring, not least for more girls. Playing should feel fun, easy, and safe,” says Amanda Girdo.
