Two Swedish victories. Two fantastic performances. And two players that we at STIGA Sports are incredibly proud of.
Sunday, 13 September 2026, showcased Swedish table tennis at its very best, as Truls Möregårdh won WTT Champions Macao and Elias Ranefur claimed the title at WTT Contender Panagyurishte.
What a day for Swedish table tennis!
In Macao, Truls Möregårdh once again stood on the top step of the podium after an impressive tournament. In the final, he defeated Hugo Calderano 4–1, securing the second WTT Champions title of his career.
At the same time, many miles away, Elias Ranefur delivered a truly remarkable performance in Bulgaria. After defeating Kristian Karlsson in the semifinal, Dimitrij Ovtcharov awaited him in the final. Elias fell behind 1–3 in sets — but refused to give in. He turned the match around, won 4–3, and captured his very first WTT Contender title.
For us at STIGA Sports, it is fantastic to follow these players so closely. Behind their success lies years of hard work, courage, determination, and a constant desire to improve. To see both Truls and Elias emerge victorious on the same day makes us both happy and extremely proud.
And it is about more than trophies and titles. Successes like these inspire the next generation, generate interest in the sport, and continue to put Swedish table tennis on the world map.
