“Because I’ve tested so many different rackets, I’ve definitely noticed the difference that racket weight makes, for tempo in play and strain on the body. I wanted to create a racket that’s easier to use, without losing the power in shots.”
- Amanda Girdo
Daring to stand out.
A lot of people see me as the cute girl on court. I'm not trying to change that. But behind the smile, there's a game that's calculated, solid, and hard to break down.
I'm an all-round player. I don't have any obvious weaknesses to fall back on, and I'm comfortable in most situations on court. For me, padel is about balance: defending, countering, playing aggressively when the moment is there, and keeping control when the pace ramps up.
My signature racket mirrors exactly that. It looks light and playful, but it delivers when it really matters. A racket for you, if maybe you're underestimated too, and quite happy about it.
Built together. Tested for real.
When I created my signature racket, I wanted to be involved every step of the way. Not just pick a colour or put my name on it, but actually shape how the racket feels in play.
I tested, adjusted, and gave feedback throughout the entire process to land on a racket that works on court, at high pace, in defence, and in the moments that decide a match. It had to feel right in the hand, not just look good on paper.
Lightweight, of course. Cybershape, of course.
I've been playing with Cybershape 18K Lightweight ever since I started playing for STIGA. The lower weight gives me a game that feels light, fast, and easy on the body, without making me compromise on control. So when I created my signature racket, the foundation wasn't something I wanted to change. We made small tweaks, fine-tuned the feel, and adapted the racket to me, while keeping what was already working.
Carrying on with Cybershape was just as obvious. The larger sweet spot and the lower air resistance make the racket more forgiving and secure in play, especially at high pace and in pressure situations. It suits me perfectly as an all-round player, when I want to do a bit of everything, with no clear weaknesses to exploit.
The result is my Lightweight racket, in my own design. Same secure feel, same playability, but even more me.
Amanda Girdo has worked with us to develop her first signature racket – for players who want a lightweight, flexible yet controlled sense of play on the court. The 18K LW Cybershape Amanda Girdo Edition takes its starting point in the 18K LW Cybershape, but it’s Amanda’s own design, and is built with reinforced corners for a more robust feel in play.
For the design, Amanda’s vision was clear: create a racket that’s enjoyable to use, with a rapid response and without compromising on quality, control, or precision. The lighter weight makes this racket easier to handle, especially in defence and at the net. But it also helps you maintain control when the game heats up. The result? A racket that will appeal to many players and that offers confidence in every shot.
The design is also an important factor in the racket as a whole. Amanda wanted a design that feels stylish, modern, and lively – a racket with characteristics that reflect her personality and the desire to stand out on the court.
With its weight of 350 g +/-8 g and medium balance, this racket is easy to manoeuvre and easier on the elbow and wrist. The unique Cybershape design provides a 20 % larger sweet spot, located higher on the racket head, and up to 12 % lower air resistance for a livelier, more dynamic game.
It’s reinforced with 18K Carbon Duplex and an exclusive silver treatment to deliver an impact surface with excellent control. The durable 360 Carbon Frame in 100 % carbon fibre offers stability and rapid response, while the handle’s Crystal Grip surface helps you create more spin. The longer handle translates into extra flexibility and the detachable, replaceable wrist strap makes this racket even more practical.
