World-famous Thibault Poret of France chooses STIGA Sports and Cybershape

STIGA Sports continues to strengthen its international position in the world of table tennis. Thibault Poret, 22-year-old member of the French national team and ranked number 22 in the world, is joining forces with STIGA. Poret will use STIGA’s innovative Cybershape table tennis blade. This means that STIGA Sports now has four of the world’s 30 highest-ranked men and women players as users of the uniquely designed blade.

Thibault Poret belongs to a new generation of French table tennis players. In just a short time, he has established himself as a member of the sport’s international elite. In 2026, he and his teammates in the French national squad took the bronze medal in the World Team Championships, and helped lead SPO Rouen to win the French team championships. He was also a finalist at WTT Star Contender in Chennai and won European Championship gold in the U21 doubles category.

Poret is well-known for his speed and aggressive attack game. When he tried the Cybershape – STIGA’s characteristic table tennis blade with its unique design – he quickly found that it was ideal for his playing style.

“It took about a week to become accustomed to the Cybershape, but now it suits my style perfectly. The hitting surface, placed higher up on the blade, makes a big difference in offensive topspin duels – higher up is where I often make contact with the ball. My greatest strength is my speed, and with Cybershape, I’ll have excellent conditions to make the most of that strength,” notes Thibault Poret.

Poret joins the growing number of table tennis stars who are choosing Cybershape. These players include Sweden’s Truls Möregårdh and Elias Ranefur as well as Egypt’s Hana Goda, who is currently number 22 in the women’s world rankings. Poret’s addition means that four of the world’s top 30 men and women players are now using STIGA’s Cybershape at the table.
